Educational Awareness Programme

Ceredigion Care Society runs an Educational Homelessness Awareness Programme, delivering presentations to young people and enabling them to become more informed about homelessness, how young people can become homeless and what services are available to help them.

The main aim of this service is raise awareness of homelessness in Ceredigion and Wales and a means of prevention by gaining a better understanding of how homelessness can affect them, and how to avoid it.

The presentations that we deliver can cover all issues involved around homelessness such as:

· Homelessness and what it means
· The reasons people become homeless
· What is involved in having a tenancy
· Budgeting
· Debt management
· Where and how to get help and support

Our programmes are delivered alongside the Personal Social Health Education (PSHE) education. This service is available to the secondary schools, youth clubs, or any organisations working with young people and any organisation that would like more information on the issues involved throughout Ceredigion and surrounding counties.
