The Floating Support SchemeAbout the SchemeThe Floating Support Scheme is a free service available to provide advocacy and support to help clients address any issues, problems or concerns they may have and to help them maintain tenancies. Support Workers will promote independent living and encourage clients to integrate into the community and fulfil their potential, thereby increasing their overall quality of life. How can we help you?A Support Worker, in conjunction with yourself, will draw up a Support Plan which will address all your support needs and issues. You will then both work over a period of time and agree the steps to be taken to address these issues in order to achieve positive outcomes. Integration with other organisations will be paramount to achieving these outcomes. Issues that may be covered include:
Your Support Plan will be reviewed on a regular basis and adapted as your needs change. What we cannot help you withA Floating Support Worker will not carry out nursing duties or do any formal counselling. However, if the Support Worker isn't able to help you with any issues or problems you may have, then they will signpost you to appropriate organisations who will be able to help you. How do I start to get help?If you would like to find out more please contact our Support Co-ordinator or visit our Contact Us page.
